The Music City Players are the only band in Nashville that
can give you an authentic Big Band Swing sound and then turn around and
"Shake your Groove Thing," make you ask "What is Hip?," give you some of
that "Old Time Rock & Roll," and then get you to "Boot Scootin' Boogie" all
over the dance floor! Between our killer horn section and awesome rhythm
section, there isn't anything that this band can't do and do well. Add
steamy vocals and there is no stopping the quality variety we can offer.
When you want that really exciting evening, we add some groovy cage dancers
and really pop those eyes out!

The Music City Players play complete evenings of any given
style you request - Rock, Disco, Pop, Country, Swing and Jazz. If we don't
already have the material you want in
our library, we'll get it and learn it just for your event!
Collectively, the musicians in the band have played Inaugural Balls,
numerous conventions, performed around the world, and played countless
sessions. These people have backed artists like the Mills Brothers, Phyllis
Diller, Garrison Keillor, Doc Severinsen, Elvis, the Coasters, Drifters,
Platters, Marvellettes, Aretha Franklin, Donna Summer, and on and on and
on... chances are they've played the songs you love, with the original
artist...
You won't find the Music City Players in any old club.
We're selective about where and who we play for, to make sure we don't have
the reputation of "just another band". We, the musicians have paid our dues
with everyone else, and are looking to make great music together and not
deal with all of
the distractions and hassles of just another ‘gig'. We're not out for a
record deal, not out to try a bunch of original material, just have great
fun! |
